Salamanca has a compact city centre, most of which is pedestrianized, inviting you to go walking mostly everywhere. Walking from one corner of the city to the other will only take you around 30 minutes.

13 bus lines, including night buses, run in the city connecting different areas of Salamanca. You will find bus schedules on most bus stops, but the main lines have busses running every 10-15 minutes.
A one way bus ticket costs 0.75 €. You can get discounts using the bus card, worth 5 €. With this card each trip costs 0.35 €
Taxis in Salamanca
Taking a taxi is not expensive in Salamanca, a trip from one side of the city to the other will cost you around 3 € during the day and around 5 € at night.
It is important to know, however, that taxi drivers do not give change for 50€ notes, so make sure to have some cash or small notes before getting in the taxi.
