Located in the western part of Spain, Salamanca is an inner region and has Continental type weather with hot summers and cold winters.
The average temperature throughout the year is around 11ºC with average temperatures in winter around 6ºC and average summer temperatures around 22ºC.
Winters are cold with night temperatures falling to -10ºC and maximum temperature during the day reaching around 12ºC.
Summers are quite hot with temperatures rising to 35ºC in warm days.
The weather in Salamanca is pretty dry, rains are not too frequent and happen mainly in Autumn and Spring. There is some snow fall in winter days, especially in December and January.
Autumn and Spring are good periods to visit Salamanca. Summer is also a good time although you may get some warm days.
